Securus Technologies Bags the Gold Stevie Award for best sales and customer service
People who have either personally experienced the prison systems, or had their loved ones in the correctional facilities will tell you that it hasn’t always been easy to communicate with and get other services to the people on the inside. That was until five years ago when private companies started getting contracts to supply these services, and enterprises like Securus have managed to create technologies that track, monitor and allow for inmate communication in the correctional facilities, making the places more secure. The efforts that Securus has been making for the past five years are finally bearing fruit because the company just won an award at the 11th edition of the Gold Stevie award.
The awards were held on the 24th of February in Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas. There were more than 600 businesses and executives who attended the event. This year, more than 2,000 nominations were sent in, which was a 10 percent increase from the previous year’s number. The awards were presented to more than 53 winners in different categories.
While accepting the award on behalf of the company, the Senior Vice President of Operations at Securus stated that the firm felt deeply honored to have been considered for the award. He added that since the company had been set up, they had decided that they would not compromise on the quality of service they would offer their customers. The current success, he stated, was just an affirmation of the level of empathy with which they treated their customers when handling complaints and other related issues.
One of the judges at the event also praised Securus for their exceptional services. He stated that the industry they were operating in was quite robust and to make the achievement that they had made was not easy. He added that the spirit with which they learned new things would compound their success with time.
